BCCY points out that a new Willie Wonka movie may be in the making…. Can anything ever compare the the first?
Pure Imagination
Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory
Music and lyrics: Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley
Come with me and you’ll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you’ll see
Into your imagination
We’ll begin with a spin
Trav’ling in the world of my creation
What we’ll see will defy
Explanation
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Want to change the world, there’s nothing to it
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you’ll be free
If you truly wish to be
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Want to change the world, there’s nothing to it
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you’ll be free
If you truly wish to be.
Need to hear the music? OK it’s a bad midi version….but on the other hand this one just made me smile! AND it’s your tax dollars at work, which should make you smile too.
Wow – quite a few days slipped by without a blip from yours truly. How come, you’re asking? Well, simple answer – too many hours doing too much stuff for NYQuilts! — the quilt show of which I am the head honcho. Actually my title is somewhere between President and Queen, but let’s not quibble about that, LOL.
Anyway, many many many spreadsheets and way too few hours of sleep later, here I am on a pleasant sunny afternoon of a day OFF (with two and a half more of same looming ahead!) having made a bunch of big pink signs, wrangle a bunch of spreadsheet into text, wrangled some info into HTML and all this after some real SLEEP and some real FOOD.
Life is sometimes too too sweet.
Time to go and pick up the signs now before night falls.
Ah, but you’re wondering – how come the hurry? Well that’s because show set up starts June 9th. eeeks!
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may folks. Or at least catch some zzz’s while the sleeping is possible!
Sweet numbers.
If only they were in real life! Go here for current status. And thank you to all my benefactors, advisors and fellow bloggers, who made all this possible!
Wow! went to see Fleetwood Mac tonight with my friend Sue. OK, yes, at one point I slipped in mild ear protection so I guess I’m officially old, but wow what a great performance. It had everything you could want in a rock concert including three drummers and a lot of light effects. Cool! Thanks to Steve for making it all possible.
PS — the mac in Fleetwood Mac stands for Apple – there were at least three G4 towers in the rear control booths!
update: Review in the Times Union newspaper.
